Parents may feel lots of different emotions following the diagnosis of their child’s hearing loss. It can be an emotional and challenging time and many parents ask, “How can I support my child right now?”

We understand that the early experiences parents provide for their baby will shape the way the baby learns and develops. The first five years of a baby’s life are critical for brain development. In the first few months of a baby's life, the main neural pathways are formed in their brain. This is a crucial time to stimulate their early development because a baby's brain will double in size by the time they are one year old.

Music is the only activity that stimulates multiple areas of the brain simultaneously, which are significant for language development. The parent-child relationship also influences all areas of a child's development. Therefore, it is unsurprising that extensive research has documented the natural benefits music can provide for nurturing parent-child bonding and early communication.

By utilizing BabyBeats™ to stimulate a baby’s senses through multi-sensory musical activities, parents will be aiding in their baby's bonding, emotional, early communication, and neurological development. This foundation will continue to support communication growth during the toddler years.

The app is divided into two sections: Babies and Toddlers. The Babies section is designed for babies wearing hearing aids or awaiting a cochlear implant, while the Toddlers section caters to toddlers using hearing aids and/or cochlear implants.
